The quote desk built for electrical distribution.

Goodshed turns contractor emails, spreadsheets, BOMs, PDFs, and material lists into review-ready quote drafts using your catalog, customer history, pricing, and inventory.

01RFQ ingestion

Requests arrive the way contractors already send them.

Goodshed reads the request and its attachments, then structures every requested line into the item, quantity, unit of measure, manufacturer information, and customer context your quote desk needs.

The original customer wording stays attached, so your team can always see exactly what was requested.

  • Plain-text requests in the body of an email

02Plan-to-Quote · in development

Turn electrical drawings into a review-ready material takeoff.

Goodshed is being built to analyze electrical plan sets, schedules, and project documents and prepare the first pass of the material takeoff: classify the sheets, read the project legend, identify components, and structure quantities and requirements into quoteable material lines.

Those lines then run through the same product resolution, pricing, and exception review as any other request. Quantities that depend on an estimating method, such as conduit routing, are left unresolved rather than guessed.

Your estimator reviews the exceptions before anything becomes a quote.

03Product resolution

From customer shorthand to the right catalog item.

Goodshed resolves each requested line against your catalog using manufacturer numbers, descriptions, product attributes, customer aliases, and purchase history.

When more than one item could fit, Goodshed shows the candidates and the differences instead of guessing.

Goodshed shows why a product was chosen.

04Customer and project memory

The shorthand your customers use becomes useful context.

Goodshed can use previous quotes, orders, projects, and customer terminology to interpret requests such as “same as last time” or “the covers from the hospital job.”

Requests are linked to the account and project they most likely belong to.

05Cross-reference and equivalents

Resolve competitor numbers and equivalents without silent substitutions.

Contractors send competitor part numbers, specify preferred manufacturers, and ask for “or equal” products. Goodshed can surface candidates from your catalog, explain the relationship, and route uncertain substitutions to a rep.

Substitutions you haven’t approved are flagged for a rep, never swapped silently.

06Pricing and inventory

Quote with the customer’s price and the stock you actually have.

Where the data is available, Goodshed attaches customer-specific pricing and branch availability to each resolved line.

07Exception-first review

Your team reviews exceptions—not every line.

Goodshed separates routine lines from the ones that need judgment.

Every resolution carries a readable confidence level and the evidence behind it, so reps know where to focus. Lines that need a decision are grouped into one review queue.

08Quote approval

Nothing reaches the customer until your team approves it.

Once every exception is cleared, Goodshed assembles the quote for final review. A rep approves it before it enters your normal quoting process.

09ERP workflow

Start without changing your ERP.

Early access begins with historical RFQs, completed quotes, and existing data exports. No live ERP connection is required to prove whether Goodshed works for your quote desk.

As live pilots progress, Goodshed can move from file-based workflows toward direct catalog, pricing, inventory, and approved-quote integrations.

Historical test

Where early access starts
  • Historical RFQs
  • Completed quotes
  • Product or item export
  • Pricing and inventory exports (optional)
  • Goodshed comparison report

Live deployment

As pilots progress
  • Quote inbox connection
  • Catalog updates
  • Pricing and inventory sync
  • Quote workflow integration
  • ERP writeback where supported
