Quote from the spec, not just the schedule

A device schedule says "Duplex receptacle — 64". The spec section above it says 20A, spec grade, tamper-resistant, white, basis of design P&S TR5362. Goodshed carries the spec into every line before it matches.

The schedule is the list. The spec is the product.

On a bid package the quantities are in one place and the requirements in another. Part 2 names the basis of design, the acceptable manufacturers, the grade, the color by area, and which receptacles must be tamper- or weather-resistant. Quoting the schedule without the spec gets you the wrong grade at the wrong price.

Goodshed looks for an item from a manufacturer the spec lists as acceptable. If it offers one, the line goes to Review with the brand change noted; if there is none, the line stays Unresolved.

Goodshed reads any schedule that lists items and quantities. Fixtures and gear are matched when your catalog carries them; anything it can't match with confidence is flagged.
